Our client is a large Australasian banking group with offices in central Auckland.
An opportunity is available for an experienced risk professional to join a high performing team on a contract basis until the end of 2021.
This is a first line of defence role with a broad remit to manage the risk & compliance reporting requirements, incident management and resolution programme, implement, and enhance, a strong risk management culture and associated behaviours and assist the business to meet their requirements under the Risk Management Framework, including risk profiling, controls, reporting, business continuity and insights.
The role is also responsible for leading from the front and taking additional responsibilities in upskilling and building capabilities across the risk managers.
To be considered for this key role, candidates should ideally have at least 7 years of relevant experience gained within the financial services sectors including practical exposure to the full range of the operational risk toolkit, including managing the risk framework, compliance, analysis and reporting. You will require prior experience in successfully applying the elements of the ‘Risk Management Lifecycle’ within a business operation or project management context. From a personal perspective, the role will require the ability to build credible and influential relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
