We are partnering with a global engineering and technology services organisation that supports some of the world’s most innovative industrial and manufacturing businesses. This organisation brings together engineers, scientists, and digital technology specialists to deliver cutting-edge R&D, software, and engineering solutions across complex environments.
They are currently seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the architecture, integration, and deployment of off-the-shelf and configurable enterprise software solutions within large-scale manufacturing environments. This role plays a critical part in enabling seamless IT/OT integration and supporting Industry 4.0 transformation initiatives.
The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and governing end-to-end solution architectures across enterprise and operational systems. You will work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining, owning, and documenting end-to-end solution architectures for enterprise package software within manufacturing environments
- Leading integration architecture across ERP, EAM, APM, MES, and OT systems
- Designing robust SaaS, on-prem, and hybrid deployment models
- Translating shop-floor and executive-level requirements into clear technical designs and phased delivery roadmaps
- Collaborating with infrastructure, network, and security teams to meet platform, cloud, and compliance standards
- Providing architectural governance, technical leadership, and escalation support throughout the project lifecycle
- Driving architectural standards, documentation quality, and knowledge transfer across teams
To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong mix of technical depth, architectural governance experience, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Key requirements:
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Lead delivering enterprise software solutions in manufacturing, industrial, or asset-intensive environments
- Strong integration experience across ERP, EAM, APM, MES, and OT platforms (e.g. SAP, Microsoft, SCADA, PLCs)
- Solid understanding of digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 concepts, including multi-site and large-scale implementations
- Hands-on experience designing SaaS, on-prem, and hybrid architectures
- Good working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS), infrastructure, networking, and security
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated experience producing architecture artifacts, solution designs, reference architectures, and deployment roadmaps
