The organisation and role:
Our client is a significant and well-established player in the tool and engineering supplies sector.
In your role as Technical Account Manager for the Waikato and Wellington regions, reporting to the General Manager – Sales & Technical, you will be a team player who is passionate about the industry and the ability to continuously explore new ideas and avenues for growth.
To be successful in this role, you will utilise your previous technical cutting tool and engineering skills, be proactive and have strong organisational skills.
About you:
You will have a Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Fitting & Machining or Toolmaking) or equivalent qualification.
With an additional 5-10+ years, hands on CNC machining experience with both machining centers and lathes, you will seamlessly transition into the role and complement the existing team.
In this role you will utilise your technical experience and work closely alongside the General Manager – Sales & Technical. You will be a collaborative team player with a genuine passion for the industry, a naturally curious, tenacious mindset and always looking for new opportunities.
Accountabilities:
- Autonomously manage the Waikato and Wellington territories
- Call cycle management
- Collaborate with internal teams where required
- Establish and maintain customer relationships
- Partnership approach with customers at all levels
- Provide technical hands-on support
- Sales growth focus
