My client is a large Global engineering business with a very Kiwi feel to it. Whilst they have international interests, they can operate with autonomy and independence.
Due to their current specialist stepping down there is an opportunity for a qualified Senior Hydraulics Engineer to oversee their design and specification around complex, high value projects of scale and importance centred around Fluid Power.
This role is a pivotal position in the organisation with influence across sales, design, and production. The Technical manager will work closely with clients and the manufacturing team ensuring projects and pieces or wark and completed to a high standard and meeting technical specifications.
As this role also supports the sales function, providing technical expertise to clients, it is essential the individual has strong commercial acumen understanding the cost drivers and commercial implications of the projects, where the challenges will lie and ultimately ensuring value for money and an outstanding experience for the customer.
To be successful in this position it is essential you have experience in the following:
- Hydraulic Fluid Power
- Strong commercial acumen
- Ability to communicate and engage with customers
- Strong specification and design experience
- Mentoring and coaching experience
- Client management ability
