Our client is a market leader in a niche food industry and sell their product portfolio to the New Zealand and overseas markets.
In your role as Business Development Manager, you will be accountable for driving profitable sales growth through your ability to build robust, long-term customer relationships.
To be successful in this role, you will utilise your previous technical sales skills, have a commercial mindset and the ability to communicate across all levels.
With 5+ years previous sales experience in the food, manufacturing industry experience, you will hit the ground running and be a valuable addition to our clients successful and collaborative team.
In this role you enjoy working alongside a very entrepreneurial CEO. You will be working in a very hands-on, supportive environment with a key focus on developing existing relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
Accountabilities:
- Establish new and maintain customer relationships
- Develop and execute a Sales business plan
- Call cycle management
- Collaborate with internal teams where required
- Partnership approach, with customers at all levels
- Provide market intelligence
- Sales growth focus
Do you have a positive outlook and dynamic communication skills? This role will require you to show tenacity to get out and about meeting with customers and going onsite to organisations. A high amount of local and overseas travel is required. Any other spoken or written language other than English will have an added advantage but is not essential
You must be computer literate, have a full, clean NZ Driver’s License and be a NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident to apply for this position.
