About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Level 2 Desktop Engineer for a 6 month contract role in Timaru.

Providing desktop support and act as Smart Hands for server and network infrastructure. You’ll be the go-to person for escalated technical issues, working closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless IT operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Level 2 support
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
  • Act as Smart Hands for server and network equipment – including racking, patching, and basic diagnostics.
  • Support remote and on-site users with technical issues and service requests.

About You
  • 2+ years of experience in a Level 2 desktop support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking.
  • Experience with Smart Hands support for server and network hardware (e.g., cabling, hardware swaps, basic troubleshooting).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • ITIL knowledge or certification is a plus.
