My client is a well-established NZX and ASX listed New Zealand business with high profile clients across Australasia. They are market leaders in their area of operation and have a long history of progression and of developing the business to the stage it has a very visible national footprint. Due to this growth they are currently on the market for a qualified Financial Accountant to join the team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Accountant to join a large commercial organisation, develop their technical and commercial skills in a dynamic and rewarding business.
The role:
Reporting directly to the Group Finance Manager and working as part of a broader finance team you will be responsible for a range of Financial Accounting and commercial activities relating to the business. These include:
- P+ L Preparation
- Intercompany accounts including cost recharges
- Year-end support
- Cashflow analysis and forecasting
- Completion of Statutory Returns
- Identifying and supporting process improvements
About you:
You will have a tertiary qualification in Business, Accounting or Commerce related discipline and will ideally be CA Qualified or working towards. You will have strong technical accounting skills and may have commercial experience, however if you are looking for your first role out of practice then this would also be an opportunity worth considering.
You will have excellent communication skills and have the ability to build broad professional relationships with key stakeholders in the business as this role will be required to understand the commercial drivers of the organisation.
