The Company:
This family-owned manufacturing business offers the New Zealand market well designed and innovative products. They have been operating for over 100 years, are stable and not going anywhere anytime soon!
The Role:
This is a hands-on role where you will contribute right across the business and report to an inspirational CFO. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial management and reporting processes of the business as well as managing a small team.
This is not a desk bound role for a traditional accountant and your main responsibilities will be:
- Business partnering across the business on all things accounting (that’s the cool part!)
- Financial Accounting and periodic closures
- Financial reporting and analysis
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Cost control and efficiency
- Cash flow management
- Continuously improve financial systems and processes
- Compliance and financial risk management
Skills and experience:
You will have the desire to develop and build your financial and commercial expertise in an organisation that values their people.
In order to be successful, you will be:
- Degree Qualified and ideally CA/CIMA/CPA/ACCA
- Proven Finance Manager / Financial Controller
- Manufacturing industry experience is essential
- Strong financial accounting experience within New Zealand - 5 years post qualified
- Relationship and stakeholder management
- Financial modelling experience
- System savvy – ERP experience with Advanced Excel
- Managed a financial team
