My client is looking for an Auditor from either Audit NZ or with Big 4 expereince who is looking to step into the public sector. You will have an inquisitive mind and want to step into an exciting role to help produce the Government's financial statements. This role will also expose you to budgeting and forecasting. You will look at the previous budgets and help budget and forecast for the next 5-10 years.
The objective of the role:
- Review CFIS returns from government entities and help with future planning for that organisation
- Comment on their spending
- Debt levels
- Produce financial statements to present to the Minister
- Fiscal Forecasting
The successful candidate will bring:
- Chartered Accountant qualification with at least two years (post qualification) of financial accounting or auditing experience
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Experience at consolidation accounting; Public sector experience would be helpful but is not essential
