About the company:
My client is a large Financial Services provider based in Auckland CBD. This is a great opportunity for a Financial Systems Specialist with strong SAP knowledge and experience to get into the Financial Services sector and into a well-paid, stable position. My client is going through system improvements, implementations, and process transformations. You will be working in a project-based environment but also providing support to end users. 

About the role:
My client needs someone to hit the ground running in this role; you'll have a minimum of 5 years' experience supporting finance systems, and intermediate to advanced SAP knowledge. This role supports project-based activities to ensure the seamless integration of changes and upgrades of the SAP Finance modules and peripheral systems. You will also be involved in supporting users and resolving issues, implementing changes/upgrades, and carrying out maintenance. You will either be an SAP FI/CO Consultant looking for a permanent position with a company running SAP or you will be a Systems Accountant with a lot of technical SAP Financials experience. No configuration will be expected in this role. However, configuration experience is welcomed. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract and we are ideally looking for someone available to start as soon as possible.

Duties:
  • Implementing changes/enhancements/upgrades to SAP and peripheral systems.
  • Supporting and maintaining the budgeting and reporting system.
  • Resolving end user queries related to SAP and peripheral systems.
  • Identify and document process changes.
  • Perform unit and SIT testing of integrations into SAP.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Assist with cutover plans and execution.
Skills & Experience:
  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience supporting Finance Systems, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Proven experience working with the SAP FI/CO modules.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience in Unit and SIT testing in SAP.
  • Experience in master data and systems change management.
  • Experience with forecasting/budgeting systems. 
  • Strong relationship and communication skills.
