Opportunity to join an organisation on a 12 month Fixed Term contract leading a new era of collective thinking, insight and action in health. They leverage the combined scale of the NZ Health system to create value, equity and insights for their customers.

The purpose of the role is to lead and deliver the People Strategy for 2022-23 whilst effectively leading a significant change and transition, and has potential to become permanent.

The purpose of the position is to develop and oversee the execution of company-wide people and communications strategies, ensuring best practice management and execution. Manage and lead the people and engagement teams ensuring they are effectively partnering with the business and supporting BAU and continuous improvement initiatives. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, reporting direct to the Chief Executive, the role will also work across the company helping to develop and drive organisational strategy and business improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

•Strategic business partner and coach to CE / ELT, support and guide ELT on people and communications matters

• Adapt people strategy and communications strategy

• As leader of a small team, ensure efforts are focused on the company’s strategic priorities and  what matters most for    the business

 • Alongside the Chief Executive ensure that key people-related initiatives have the buy-in of the broader management       team and that all people are engaging professionally with customers and are focused on their needs

Change Leadership - opportunity to shine as a strategic change agent

Team Leadership-Lead a high performing People and Engagement team, providing development, coaching and support, and monitoring team workloads 

Operational Management-Develop, implement and monitor an activity plan which supports achievement of people and communications strategies and meets organisation milestones within agreed timeframes

Culture and Engagement Champion- Formalise and lead the Future of Work initiatives to sustain high engagement and market leadings ways of working post Covid era

Stakeholder Engagement-Engage key suppliers to support both teams and individuals across the business
 

About you:  

You will bring a proven track record in HR and/or Communications preferable 10 years plus and have experience managing and leading complex change and transformations. The role has a strong focus on coaching and training people leaders and will require advanced stakeholder management and influencing skills. You will need to be a strong communicator at all levels and have high level leadership, effective negotiation and change management skills.
