My client is a financial advisory firm with a national footprint. They provide financial advice to consumers and small businesses with focus on mortgages, funds management and insurance.

Head office is in Mt Eden, Auckland with regional offices in Tauranga, Te Awamutu and Christchurch. This is a growing business with 70 staff nationwide, comprising financial advisers and operational teams.

The Human Resources Manager role is a newly created role that will support them to continue ongoing growth, and enhancing culture, learning and development.

Technology is at the core of the business and there is significant ongoing investment to increase operational efficiency, deliver automation and digital capability, manage data effectively and meet regulator obligations.

Operating in a heavily regulated environment, facilitation of Apex’s ongoing learning and development is an important aspect of the role.

It is anticipated that the scope and responsibilities of this role will evolve over time as the organisation grows and responds to the changing needs of the market and its clients.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification preferred
  • HR Manager or Business Partner experience
  • Experience providing strategic HR advice to the CE and senior managers
  • A strong track record managing people, resources,work programmes, organisational change, issue Resolution and cultural change
  • Experience in facilitating and implementing comprehensive learning and development programmes

Skills and Attributes:

  • A strategic thinker with strong analytical ability to interpret complex information
  • Strong client service ethos and customer focussed
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility with senior leaders to engage, influence and challenge where necessary
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, complexity and multiple stakeholders
  • Successful demonstration of promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace
