A tight knit team with global backing, our client operates the breadth of New Zealand working with clients from a multitude of industries. In the past few years, this forward-thinking organisation have grown from strength to strength, by staying innovative and adapting to current supply chain and logistics challenges. As such, they are now looking for an import/export operations specialist superstar in this newly created role.

The Role:

Reporting into the Operations Manager, this role is predominantly export heavy, comprising of both sea and air freight. As a sole charge specialist, you will be pivotal to the efficient processing of imports and exports through the business and a key point of contact for your customers. Working with both internal and external stakeholders in this capacity will also provide you with the opportunity to contribute new ideas and projects to the wider business strategy.

Key Responsibilities In This Position Includes:

  • Processing of all import & export documentation
  • Processing of all invoices and payments
  • Liasing with external stakeholders e.g shipping lines, customers, overseas agents etc
  • Negotiation of rates (where required)
  • Pre-alert paperwork

About You:

You will have 5+ years of import and export experience within the freighting industry and know how to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to achieve the best results. Working with multiple internal and external stakeholders, your communication skills set you apart from the rest. You will have passion and energy for the export industry and enjoy the challenges and complexity that comes with it. As such, you thrive in an environment where no two days are the same. Most importantly you will strive to deliver quality service to all your customers as you strongly believe they are at the heart of everything you do.
