You will sit within the programme team as the financial lead, working closely with programme leadership, finance teams, and external stakeholders to ensure financial integrity and value delivery. Hands on with budget planning, forecasting, reporting, and vendor financial management, this is a rare opportunity to play a key financial leadership role in a multi-year programme that will directly support frontline service delivery and operational resilience.
This is a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months, with a good possibility of extension. It would be an ideal step for a Senior Management Accountant, a hands-on Finance Business Partner or a Project Accountant looking to grow their career.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead programme budget planning, monitoring, and forecasting
- Analyse actuals vs. budget and manage funding allocations
- Prepare monthly financial reports and forecasts
- Ensure compliance with finance policies and accounting standards
- Maintain accurate records in SAP and Sentient
- Develop financial models and business case inputs
- Provide expert financial advice and analysis
- Manage financial aspects of vendor contracts and RFPs
- Oversee accounts payable and resolve invoice queries
What You’ll Bring
- A relevant Accounting/Finance degree and 3+ years’ experience, or a recognised accounting qualification
- Strong financial modelling and analysis skills
- Experience in large-scale programmes or projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with a focus on delivery
