This is a fast-paced residential developer that has gained strong momentum in the past 1 – 2 years across Auckland. Their work is largely buying land and or house(s) on large sections and converting to multiple properties consisting of 2 – 3 story walk ups/terraced houses. They are in build mode, they have Project Managers in place, and are now looking to on board a a Quantity Surveyor at Intermediate level to assist in the commercial management and estimating functions. They are led by savvy directors with relevant backgrounds.
Your role involves:

Completing job estimates

Contract administration
-
Financial reporting and variations
-
Orders preparation
-
Keeping an up to date supplier pricing database

Supplier management/negotiating
-
Site visits during construction
Key background:
- 3 + years of residential and/or commercial QS experience including knowledge of NZ Building Code and NZ Building Standards, including NZS3604:2011, 3910/ETC contracts and 3915
- Tertiary qualified with a Diploma/Bachelors degree in CM/QSing
- Top communication, negotiation and relationship building skills
- Strong financial nous, excellent pricing systems skills
- Accuracy
Salary $80K - $90K + Benefits.
