• Senior Mobile Engineer (Flutter & React Native)

• 6 months contract

We’re looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer with solid expertise in Flutter, React Native, and native platform development to join our client in Auckland. This is a 6-month contract role.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust mobile applications using Flutter and React Native.
• Build and optimize custom widgets, animations, and performance for Flutter apps.
• Develop and integrate native plugins using Swift (iOS) and Java/Kotlin (Android).
• Implement platform channels and method channel communication.
• Integrate Flutter modules into React Native applications.
• Work on real-time features using WebSockets and AWS services (Amazon Connect).
• Ensure seamless API integration and error handling.
• Drive test-driven development with unit, widget, and integration tests.
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate on Git workflows and manage monorepos with Melos.

To be considered you must have:

• 8+ years in mobile development, with 3+ years in Flutter and React Native.
• Expert knowledge of Flutter widgets, animations, and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of Dart, async programming, and state management (Riverpod, Provider).
• Experience with React Native bridge architecture.
• Native development experience in Swift and Java/Kotlin.
• Familiarity with Xcode, Gradle, and mobile build systems.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD, shell scripting, and Git workflows.
