In addition to anticipating possible security threats and identifying areas of weakness in products created by the Programme, the Security Architect must respond promptly and effectively to possible breaches of security.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Reviewing current system security measures and recommending and implementing enhancements
- Working with Solution Architects to ensure designs meet good security practices and provide support, guidance, and approval in the wider context
- Conducting regular system tests and facilitate continuous monitoring of the impact of changes to the existing network security
- Work with the Cybersecurity Team to establish appropriate disaster recovery procedures and any potential breach or vulnerabilities to security
- Extensive experience in information and network security including IT risk management with a focus on security solution design, performance, and reliability
- Solid understanding of cloud computing (Azure preferred), security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorisation, and security
- Good working knowledge of current IT risks and experience implementing traditional and cloud-based security solutions
- Experience implementing multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, identity management or related technologies
- Wellington central location
- Until June 2023
