About the role:
The role has a strong service delivery focus with a key aspect being continual service improvement.
- Identifying deficiencies and opportunities within applications and / or business processes and planning / executing appropriate changes.
- Building and maintaining relationships with all key stakeholders to better understand business expectations and to support continual.
service improvement is also a key function of this role. - Provide advice and expertise to support the efficient resolution or closure of incidents and requests.
- Maintain the operational effectiveness of systems ensuring a state of high availability, reliability and responsiveness required by the organisation to meet client needs.
Please note this role will have on call responsibilities 1 in every 6 weeks.
Skills and Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology disciplines or equivalent technical experience.
- Extensive knowledge and experience Unix / Linux and Windows.
- Excellent proven knowledge of scripting languages based on Java, Python and other scripting languages.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a capacity for systemic analysis and documentation.
- Good interpersonal skills – able to build and maintain positive working relationships across all levels.
- Constructively relates to a wide range of people with open-mindedness and good-will.
- Strong communication skills including being able to share knowledge to contribute to team effectiveness and influence stakeholders throughout production and development as required.
- Knowledge of IT quality systems.
- A self-starter, able to manage time effectively and plan to meet objective.
