My client is a large international manufacturing organisation that operates across New Zealand and Australia.
Due to a change in their change in their New Zealand structure an opportunity has become available for an experienced Assistant accountant that is looking for the opportunity to step up into a more senior role that will support their development and broaden their experience in a high performing business.
Reporting into the Group FC, you will work with a broad range of individual across the business including the New Zealand General Manager, Production Manager amongst others. Your role will be to support the finance function, along with developing business partnering skills to support the business with commercial analysis and insights to help drive managers respective areas.
Some of your key duties will include:
- GL Posting and processing
- Monthly Reconciliations
- Month End support
- Financial process improvement
- Supporting Site managers with KPI reporting and insights
- Build relationships to understand the business

To be successful in this role, you will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across the business at a senior and more operational level. You will have 2+ years experience in a similar accounting role, with strong analytical capability, comfortable working with ERP systems, and the Microsoft suite of products. You will enjoy working in a team environment, but also welcome the opportunity to own the role and your services to internal clients.
The Group FC has a hands-off management style, but is happy to support you as you build you knowledge and provide a good sounding board for guidance and support.
