About the Role

The Business Development Manager will professionally represent the business and its digital marketing services for the purpose of driving sales profitability, growth, and account penetration. The role will be B2B hunting working with SMEs across New Zealand, strategically targeting specific market verticals and consulting with them to understand their business needs to align them with the appropriate marketing solution.

The role will see the successful candidate effectively execute the full sales cycle, from sourcing leads, qualifying, setting meetings, presenting & generating proposals right through to closing new business.  Key challenge will be ensuring disciplined sales activity to open new doors and initially developing a strong sales pipeline.

About You
  • Presentation & Rapport – You will have strong ability to make a positive and memorable impression. You will be charismatic and composed in all your dealings with the capability to quickly establish rapport with ease.
  • Attitude & Culture fit – You will have dedicated goals, be driven by your own success and want to see your name at the top of the leader board. You’ll Be disciplined in the way in which you operate with high levels of resilience. You will be confident, energetic, and dynamic with a friendly disposition. Someone that can think outside the square and doesn’t get flustered easily.
  • Well – rounded Sales Skillset & Sales Results – You will bring demonstrated history of delivering consistent outcomes bringing on new business. You’ll have bulletproof practice & process when executing a sales cycle, can adapt to meet client needs and has the talent to take control of a sale right through to close. You’ll be a skilled practitioner when it comes to opening new doors and be disciplined in your sales activity.
  • Communication – You’ll be extremely articulate with great ability to think on your feet when consulting with and advising clients. Will have “gift of the gab” with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Digital Marketing Experience – Advantageous if you have a strong understanding of digital marketing or have prior experience in a sales role selling digital marketing services.
