As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting data to generate valuable insights. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain reporting solutions using R programming. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, gather requirements, and deliver reports that support evidence-based decision making.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Proven experience as a Reporting Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in R programming and experience with relevant packages (e.g., ggplot2, dplyr, tidyr).
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts and data analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in SQL and data querying.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with complex data sets.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience working in a government agency, or a large organization is advantageous.
- Must be a NZ/AUS Citizen, permanent resident or have a valid work visa with no restrictions to be eligible for this role.
- Attractive hourly rate: Paying up to $110 per hour, depending on experience.
- 37 hours per week.
- Starting 24 July to 29 September.
- Wellington Central location.
- Hybrid work environment.
