About the role:
We’re looking for an experienced ETL / Data Tester to join our client in Auckland, working on a major programme of work. This role is critical to support data quality and integration initiatives. This role is primarily manual testing, with opportunities to contribute to test automation using Selenium.

• Perform end-to-end data validation across complex data pipelines.
• Work closely with developers, data engineers, and analysts to investigate data mismatches, anomalies, and system defects impacting reporting or downstream applications.
• Execute and document SQL queries to validate data transformations, ensure accuracy, and troubleshoot issues across multiple data sources.
• Conduct thorough ETL testing to verify data extraction, transformation logic, and load processes.
• Produce clear, detailed test reports and document results, defects, and recommendations.
• Support automation efforts using Selenium for UI-related data validation or regression testing.

To be considered you must have:

• Strong hands-on experience with ETL testing.
• Solid skills in SQL querying for data validation and investigation.
• Experience analysing data flows, mapping documents, and data models.
• Proven ability to identify, isolate, and troubleshoot system bugs or data issues.
• Experience creating comprehensive test documentation.
• Exposure to Selenium automation (basic to intermediate).
