Position Purpose
This role will provide technical leadership and hands-on support in duplicating and managing academic resources from a variety of Learning Management Systems (LMSs) and other repositories such as SharePoint.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on technical support for the duplication and extraction of academic resources from LMS platforms, including Moodle, Blackboard, and Canvas and other repositories such as SharePoint.
  • Work collaboratively with local IT and academic teams to identify and prioritise content for duplication.
  • Develop and maintain protocols for the secure, consistent, and efficient duplication of Academic Resources.
  • Design and configure SharePoint-based repositories to store and manage duplicated resources in alignment with information governance standards.
  • Implement metadata, tagging, and permissions strategies to ensure resources are searchable, secure, and appropriately classified.
  • Work closely with digital archiving, academic, and compliance stakeholders to ensure solutions meet regulatory and pedagogical needs.
  • Provide training, support documentation, and handover to ensure long-term sustainability of the document management platform.
  • Maintain clear, auditable records of processes and data transfers.
Skills and Experience

Essential:
  • Demonstrated technical experience working with major LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas), including data extraction or backup processes.
  • Expertise in document and content management systems, with experience configuring and managing Microsoft SharePoint (including metadata, workflows, access controls).
  • Understanding of digital information management best practices, including version control, data security, and accessibility.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, collaborative working style.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders across the motu.
  • Ability to work at pace and to evolving project schedule.
Desirable:
  • Familiarity with New Zealand’s information privacy and academic records standards
