What we are looking for:
We're looking for multiple skilled Cloud Engineers to drive the design, deployment and maintenance of innovative Cloud infrastructure solutions. This is a 6-month contract in Auckland with an ASAP start. Your experience means that you are comfortable implementing proactive measures to enhance platform performance and resource utilization. You are always keeping your knowledge up to date with new Azure features and other innovative cloud solutions to ensure the business stays at the forefront of cutting- edge technology.
To be considered you must have:
- 4+ years of experience in a cloud platform engineering role (ideally in Azure)
- Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available and scalable public cloud infrastructure solutions,
- Troubleshooting experience for cloud platform, hardware, and software issues,
- The ability to work with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and infrastructure teams,
- Experience in automation provisioning of infrastructure, including installation and configuration of third-party components,
- Experience in efficient delivery of stable environments,
- Experience ensuring that public cloud environments adhere to security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS).
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt and Terratest
- Experience with multiple Azure Services: Azure FW, Front Door, Application Gateways, VM's , VMSS, AKS, Service Bus, Storage Accounts, Cosmos, Azure SQL, App Service, Function Apps, EntraID
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
- Familiarity with multiple database technologies like Cosmos, SQL, Redis
- Ideally you will have containerization experience (Docker/Kubernetes).
