Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Finance Business Partner to join a non-profit organization. In this role, you will be responsible for the continuous improvement of our financial processes and systems so that our Finance team has the capacity and capability to provide fit-for-purpose support demanded.  Additionally, this role will provide the back-up for finance team members in a small yet very able team.

Core deliverables

• Project Lead/team-member on internal process and system improvement projects, such as the future system upgrade from Microsoft NAV to Business Central.

• Partner with researchers and other support staff to establish new processes and identify opportunities to improve existing process efficiency/effectiveness. For example, improve the current reimbursement process to meet our growing demand.
• Contribute towards the development of efficient and standardised finance operations procedures such as the purchasing process for the entire Institute.
• Support the development and implementation of finance related projects that aim to improve and enhance finance information and processes such as the planned new Power BI reporting engine and the multi-year financial forecasting model.
• Provide back-up to Finance team-members when required.

What you bring

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in Finance or Accounting.  
• Proven previous experience in a financial accounting and reporting, management accounting and budgeting, system accounting, or analytical and process improvement role.
• Good knowledge and understanding of modern accounting systems such as Microsoft NAV, BC, Power BI. Previous experience with these tools preferred.
