My client:
Label and Litho supply self-adhesive labeling to both local and international markets – with a strong focus on high-quality food/beverage, wine, beer and pharmaceutical labeling.prints millions and millions of labels every year.
The role:
Reporting to the GM, this is a very broad hands-on role with responsibility for the Accounting function and also supporting the commercial running of the Label and Litho business.
The core Accounting function currently includes all accounting and GL maintenance, end of Month and Year End Reporting, overseeing the AP function, overseeing the AR function, performing Bank Reconciliations and managing the 3rd party payroll.
The commercial support component incorporates developing a deeper understanding of the business to provide structure and guidance to the Management Team particularly in relation to the Manufacturing, Costing and Sales functions. This will involve working closely with the General Manager to ensure the business systems and processes evolve to meet the needs of the business and customer base.
The role’s critical success factors will be the ability to be flexible and identify and drive continuous improvement across all areas of influence in support of the key stakeholders in managing the business.
Responsibilities:
- 2 direct reports
- Managing everyday accounting Function
- Commercial Support and Analysis:
- Developing and enhancing the systems and processes to drive the commercial function of the business in support of the General Manager and broader Management Team
- Key operational performance and cost analysis and reporting including output, material usage and labour
- Customer profitability analysis
- Supply Chain involvement (MRP)
- Capex business cases and proposals
- Monthly Management and Financial Reporting to Local Management and Australian parent
- Identification of working capital management improvement opportunities
Education/Qualifications/Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting/finance.
- CPA / CA preferred
- Min 5 years of experience in an Accounting/Finance role preferably in a Manufacturing environment.
- Strong excel and IT skills
- Tharsten, SAGE and MS Dynamics Business Central knowledge an advantage
