Location: Porirua, Wellington
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week
We’re seeking a skilled Full Stack Java Developer to join a small, agile product delivery team supporting a critical vetting system. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with another developer to maintain and enhance both the customer-facing portal and the internal processing system.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Developing and maintaining Java-based applications (front-end and back-end).
- Enhancing system functionality and supporting upgrades.
- Participating in agile ceremonies and sprint planning.
- Writing unit and integration tests.
- Creating and maintaining high-quality documentation and user stories.
Tech Stack:
- Java 8, Spring, Spring Boot
- HTML, JavaScript, CSS
- Wicket (UI framework – nice to have)
- JSP (front-end for internal system)
- SQL (DB2 experience a plus)
- Web Services, XML
- WebSphere and/or OpenShift (desirable)
What We’re Looking For:

- Capable of handling full development lifecycle including deployment.
