This is an interiors and general main contractor that have been successful in building their brand profile in the Auckland market. They are specialists in delivering the most challenging and complex refurbishments projects, but also new builds.
They work with international brands and corporates with sizable commercial premises. They have a clear strategy to continue to take on more projects in this area. While most of their jobs are in the $5M - $7M category, several are higher at $15M.
Due to a new project being awarded plus the need to put in place a structure for management and reporting across several projects, they now require a switched on senior project manager to facilitate and co ordinate the delivery of this project plus manage other site and project managers.
The role requires a mix of attending PCG meetings, contract admin, programme management, scopes of works, managing site staff,/site team, co ordination and managing projects, financial/monthly reporting. It is a well rounded role, involving hands on leadership and mentoring.
As an applicant you will have had experience managing projects within the NZ interiors/fitout/light commercial, ideally tertiary qualified and as well able to manage financial aspects in conjunction with a QS. Your have a stable employment record and will have accompanying glowing references. You have an eye for detail and can work with and develop efficient systems. Of most importance is your communication and relationship development skills as well as your ability to lead and drive a team.
This role offers a competitive package up to $140K - $160K pending experience.
