I am looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join a close knit team. You will assist the Group Financial Controller in the delivery of sound statutory and monthly financial reporting services, tax compliance, maintaining integrity of the general ledger, management of the financial close, and supporting the development of internal control policies, systems and processes.
Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or related discipline
- NZICA/CAANZ qualified (or equivalent) with solid experience in end to end financial accounting and tax compliance, preferably in a Tier 1 reporting setting
Skills and Experience:
- Working knowledge of an ERP system, preferably Microsoft Dynamics NAV
- Strong excel and analytical skills
- Good working knowledge of relevant standards, principles, policies, systems and processes, procedures, guidelines, practice and
regulations including PBE IPSAS, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Charities Act, taxation and other relevant legislation - Ideally more than 5 years’ experience in financial accounting in a large complex organisation
- Previous external audit experience desirable
