This is a great opportunity to join an established organisation in a newly created role, offering exposure to greenfield projects and modern platform environments.
The role operates across a mixed environment, with approximately 70% Windows and 30% Linux, and will suit someone who enjoys working across infrastructure, automation, and cloud technologies.
About the Role
You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing support of the organisation’s IT platform and infrastructure, working across on-prem and cloud environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and virtualisation
- Manage and optimise virtualisation environments using VMware technologies
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation workflows to improve efficiency
- Configure and support Linux operating systems, servers, and applications
- Manage Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO)
- Support and manage the Azure cloud platform
- 5 – 6+ years’ experience in infrastructure platform design, implementation, and administration
- Strong experience with VMware virtualisation technologies and Azure
- Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell and/or Python)
- Experience with storage and computer hardware, including SAN, NAS, and server hardware
- Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems and environments
- Experience with Horizon and Active Directory GPO
