We’re seeking a Senior Programme Management Office Lead to join a major transformation initiative focused on modernising enterprise resource management systems.
This is a 12-month fixed term opportunity, ideally commencing before the end of the year, though a January start is also possible.
About the Programme
This programme is a large-scale, Cabinet-supported transformation focused on upgrading core HR, Payroll, and Workforce Management systems. Its goals are to:
- Strengthen frontline service delivery through a resilient and future-ready platform.
- Reduce administrative burden and improve data quality and insights.
- Deliver cost-effective, intuitive solutions with automated processes.
As the Senior PMO Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring programme cohesion and delivery excellence. You’ll lead programme-wide reporting, governance support, and change control processes, while maintaining high standards across risk, issue, and decision registers.
You’ll also:
- Provide independent monitoring and evaluation across workstreams.
- Lead secretariat services for governance groups.
- Manage programme schedules and change control.
- Support budget tracking and post-implementation reviews.
- Coach and mentor programme resources on PMO practice.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience leading PMO functions in complex public sector environments.
- Strong planning, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Expertise in programme scheduling, risk management, and benefits realisation.
- Familiarity with methodologies such as Prince2 and/or PROSCI.
- A collaborative leader who thrives in dynamic, multi-stakeholder settings.
