We’re looking for a dynamic Delivery Lead to drive the successful execution of a high-impact programme within a complex public sector environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder settings and is passionate about enabling teams to deliver meaningful outcomes.

As Delivery Lead, you’ll oversee programme planning, delivery, and reporting ensuring alignment with strategic milestones and stakeholder expectations. You’ll work closely with business leads, delivery squads, and executive sponsors to remove blockers, manage risks, and maintain momentum. From sprint planning and roadmap management to ELT and Ministerial reporting, you’ll be at the centre of delivery excellence.

You’ll also embed a te ao Māori approach across all aspects of delivery, ensuring inclusive and culturally responsive engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead programme planning and delivery, including sprint cycles, quarterly planning, and roadmap alignment.
  • Engage with business teams to ensure clarity of scope, access to resources, and delivery readiness.
  • Drive reporting across multiple levels while maintaining transparency and progress tracking.
  • Manage risks, issues, and resource utilisation across the programme lifecycle.
  • Oversee business transformation activities to ensure successful transition to BAU.
  • Champion stakeholder engagement and incorporate te ao Māori principles throughout delivery.

What You’ll Bring:
  • 5+ years leading programmes/projects using Agile, hybrid-Agile, or time-boxed waterfall approaches.
  • Proven experience engaging senior leaders and managing complex stakeholder environments.
  • Solid understanding and skills with ADO and Dynamics 365
  • Strong negotiation skills across timelines, budgets, and resource planning.
  • Ability to quickly integrate into active programmes and deliver results at pace.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and influencing skills.
  • Experience in government operations and delivering change in complex environments.
