They are now in need of a driven senior QS or commercial manager that can step into leading projects from a commercial perspective and as well as lead a team of 6-7 QS's The role encompasses both the estimating and overall cost management of projects.
Key components of this role involve:
- Leading estimating and quantity surveying functions
- Team mentoring and management
- Leading tender preparation
- Overall cost management monitoring
- Identifying commercial risks
- Reviewing, developing and implementing operating processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies
As an applicant, you have:
- 10+ years of Estimator/QS experience either from a main contractor with some interior’s projects as part of your portfolio or an interiors contractor with a strong understanding of tendering and contract administration
- Strong leadership and management skills
- You have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, you can manage and guide intermediate level staff
- Highly analytical
- A sound understanding of the competitive market dynamics operating in Auckland
- A team player
