Territory Manager

We’re excited to be assisting an FMCG company with the recruitment of a Territory Manager to look after their Palmerston North to Hawkes Bay Region. You will take responsibility for the health & beauty division across pharmacy, supermarket and department stores across Palmerston North, Masterton, Levin, Feilding, Stratford, Wanganui, Marton, New Plymouth, Pahiatua, Waipawa and Waipukurau.

This role will be ‘on the road’ and requires someone residing in Palmerston North, who can take initiative and work autonomously around KPIs.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • You would be responsible for a geographical territory which will cover Palmerston North to the Hawkes Bay region
  • Visiting existing retailers within your territory
  • Merchandising stock, upselling and cross-selling
  • Journey planning & reporting
  • Tidying up displays within the stores
  • Selling – distribution gains & parcel deals – achievement of volume, profit & brand objective
  • Relationship building with buyers
  • Total territory management including call cycles, planning & ensuring profitable growth
  • Call cycles will be across all supermarket brands, department stores, pharmacies, etc

To be successful you will need:

  • Experience working as a Territory Manager
  • Experience working in Sales, Merchandising or FMCG Grocery/Health & Beauty
  • Customer Service experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience working in a role with KPI's or Sales
  • Ambitious with a great outgoing personality
