What You Will Do
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building scalable, secure, and reliable systems. You will:
- Provide technical leadership within your squad, mentoring and coaching other engineers.
- Contribute to design and architecture of modern, modular systems.
- Apply structured engineering practices across the SDLC – from design to deployment and support.
- Use AI tools to boost productivity, test coverage, and code quality.
- Drive continuous improvement in codebase, tooling, and development practices.
- Take ownership of solutions from inception to production – we build it, we own it.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and other teams to deliver customer value.
- Advocate for test-first, domain-driven design and maintainable systems.
- Participate in incident analysis and implement preventative measures.
- Influence roadmap planning through a clear understanding of business goals and technical debt.
- Engineering Leadership: Mentor engineers, review designs/code, set standards for clean architecture.
- Software Development & Design: Deliver production-grade code, design APIs/services, lead technical sessions.
- Testing & QA: Improve automated test coverage, drive TDD, support defect triage and resolution.
- DevOps & Support: Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, observability, incident response, and performance tuning.
- Security & Governance: Apply secure coding practices, identify risks, ensure compliance.
- 5+ years’ experience in software engineering (SaaS or eCommerce preferred).
- Strong Golang expertise and proficiency in multiple paradigms.
- Deep understanding of microservices, APIs, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes, relational and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) in engineering workflows.
- Strong skills in system design, test automation, and modern development practices.
- Collaborative, agile mindset with excellent communication skills.
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or related field (preferred).
