Key Account Manager

Our client is an essential service in the services sector in New Zealand. Long recognised for their environmental responsibility & sustainability. Dedicating significant resources to sustainability innovation. As a Key Account Manager (KAM) reporting to the National Key Account Manager (NKAM), your role is to delight and retain existing designated National customers. This role will be involved in one major account with some other activity as well. You will be part of a KAM team providing back up when required. The KAM will continually look to participate and provide solutions and improvements across a range of initiatives.

Critical to your success will be:

  • Working across specific KPI’s to retain customers
  • Delivery of customer review presentation and resigns where required
  • Provision of training for customers
  • Understanding health and safety within client sites
  • Financial management around the required debt cycles and understanding account value and profitability
  • Reporting capability and working around innovation and improvement
  • Sustainability is key and working with clients around this

Critical competencies for selection will include:

  • Tertiary level qualification desirable
  • 3+ years in a KAM role – manufacturing, transport or a similar industry – they are open
  • Presentation capability for clients and stakeholders
  • Numeracy
  • Microsoft suite capability
