Beyond Recruitment are pleased to be working with the Department of Corrections to place a Senior People Advisor to based in Mt Eden.

The Senior People Advisor provides proactive professional advice and support on all people related matters to people leaders at Ara Poutama Aotearoa. The Senior Advisor will develop, maintain and foster excellent working partnerships with senior leaders and internal stakeholders to assist them to meet their business objectives through their people.

Key Accountabilities:

• Provide professional, timely, lawful and accurate advice
• Performance management and employment relations advice
• Guidance and support for diversity & inclusion, talent, reward and recognition and policy advice.
• Coach and support Managers with complex employment relations issues
• Contribute to the culture building of the organisation
• Implementation of policy and processes

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to work autonomously, be confident in your abilities in employment relations. They are a unionised environment and you will need to be a resilient person.

The role is in a corporate environment and is based in the busiest remand prison, with 3 days per week on site and flexible hours.
